I write things because if I do not, the words will tear apart my skull. And I abhor brain-matter related messes.
Nearly 30, I am still waiting to hit my prime. I couldn't possibly have passed it yet. Right?
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Child and Family Studies with a Minor in Criminal Justice. Yes, totally unrelated to writing.
I learned to write from reading. There is no better way.
I have been married to my best friend since 2010.
I am a proud cat dad to Phineas and Calypso.
If I'm not writing, you'll find me:
Weightlifting, reading, hiking, PC or table top gaming, Dungeon Mastering
Follow me on Twitter and subscribe to the newsletter to keep up to date on what I'm writing. Don't worry, I will never spam you.
Want to truly get to know me? Almost two years ago, as I was trying to find an outlet for my writing, I began a blog. It was originally intended to be a resource for people dealing with the autoimmune condition psoriasis (which I have) through a "Paleo" lifestyle. I figured I could write and support others in my position as well. I began by giving a background of my own history and before long, that was all it was. The entire blog became a cathartic form of self therapy as I recalled my struggles with depression, life events, health issues, etc. It was wholly unlike what I intended the blog to be about, but in the end it was exactly what I needed. Making it all public gave me the peace to get on with my life and be able to write openly as I do now. So, if you want to really get to know me, check out the full blogWarning: I hold nothing back and do not sugar coat my personal feelings and struggles. If you know me personally or are triggered by stories of mental anguish and haven't read it, it will upset you.
